Why we launched Chordian Angels

We both held a similar vision of wanting to create a service to help others and it made sense for us to join forces. Initially we want to empower the music industry through business and coaching services focusing on musicians, songwriters and managers. Our aim is to help them with challenging situations and to turn them into better entrepreneurs. We believe this will help us bring music and entertainment to the heart of society. Artists in many cases are seen as the underdog and we want to provide an empowering space where this isn’t any longer the case.

To this end we’ve launched Chordian Angels, with the purpose to serve these needs.

In our experience there are people in the music industry coming up with many new business models for artists and yet none appear to effectively support the artist’s state of “BEING”. There are many musicians and songwriters who are talented but who don’t have the necessary self-belief to survive the challenges of the music industry. Also there is the question of crisis management, performance anxiety, substance abuse, creative un-blocking, interpersonal band dynamics, conflict resolution, productivity issues and on-going creative enhancement to sustain them and enhance their creative flow.

Additionally we want extend our work to inspire and practically support up and coming artists. We want to help those who have a dream to create and start their own businesses within the music and entertainment industry, yet who lack the self-belief, tools or know-how. Chordian Angels wants to provide them with business and personal support through networks and workshops. As the industry is crying out for more innovation and for passionate young and innovative people to fulfill their dreams we felt it was important to be at the heart of supporting and bringing about change to an industry afflicted by greed, denial and ineffective business practices. Our first hand experience, which is shared by many in the creative industry, is one of stress and dissempowerment brought about by decades of neglect.

We dream of an industry where its partipants are properly supported and nurtured; and where the next generation of artists have the skills and self-belief to realize their dreams and share their music with the world.
